That’s easy. Purchase your vehicle through our CUDL program, where more than 175 local dealerships can approve your loan for Unitus financing right on the spot! Simply tell your salesman that you’re a Unitus member and they can handle the rest.
Your title can be released the next business day if your payoff is made via payroll deduction, a cashier’s check or transfer from available funds. Otherwise, the title to your vehicle will be released in about 10 business days.
Unitus is the lien holder on your vehicle. In the event your vehicle is totaled or stolen, the insurance company will need to send the claim check directly to Unitus to be applied against your loan balance.
GAP Coverage helps avoid the situation where someone’s car is totaled or stolen and their insurance coverage doesn’t cover the full cost.
Many insurance companies only pay the ‘Actual Cash Value’ of the vehicle. In most cases, this doesn’t equate to the loan balance, and the borrower is left paying the difference.
To protect members from this unpleasant situation, we’ve partnered with Allied Solutions to offer an inexpensive solution. Named Guaranteed Asset Protection Insurance (GAP), our GAP program waives the difference between your primary insurance company’s settlement and your Unitus auto loan balance, meaning less delinquent payments and fees, refundable service warranty contracts and other insurance related charges.
GAP is offered to members for a low one-time fee and is good for the life of your loan. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with this coverage, you can cancel the protection and receive a full refund during the first 60 days.
To make your decision even easier, we offer several payment options. You can add the premium to your auto loan (which will increase the payment accordingly), write us a check, or transfer the full amount from your Unitus savings or checking account.
For a quick quote or to learn more about our program contact us at 503.423.8770.
Under most circumstances, a consumer loan application can be approved online within sixty seconds and a first mortgage application in about 15-20 minutes. In some cases, a loan request may take a bit longer to review, but we usually return a decision within the next business .

If you have a vehicle loan with Unitus, you are required to maintain full coverage insurance at all times, with a maximum deductible of $1,250. CPI, or Collateral Protection Insurance, is added by Unitus only if you are not able to provide this proof of insurance.
CPI is more costly than regular vehicle insurance, doesn’t cover your liability, and only protects the Credit Union’s interest in the vehicle. If you are billed for CPI, we strongly encourage you to obtain vehicle insurance and then contact the Credit Union.

Private mortgage insurance is a financial guarantee that protects the lender in the event a borrower defaults on a mortgage. To purchase a home without mortgage insurance, borrowers generally need enough money to make a down payment that’s at least 20% of the price of the home. To put 20% down on a $200,000 home, a borrower would need to come up with $40,000! This is quite a hefty down payment.
With private mortgage insurance, you’ll reduce or eliminate the need for accumulating a down payment, which will allow you to purchase that $200,000 home sooner!

A Credit Union is a place where people with common interests, like where they live or work, come together to save and borrow their money.Credit Unions provide many of the same services that banks do, but there are a few things that make us different:
- We are “not for profit”. This simply means we’re not in business just to make money
- Money that we do make is returned to you in the form of better rates and services
- We’re owned by you—the member
- As much as possible, the money we make is spent and put back into the local community where you live
