Message to Our Members – October 2025

(2 Minute Read) —  This October, we have a lot to celebrate – beginning with YOU!

We’re thrilled to welcome all members into our branches for National Member Experience Day on Tuesday, October 7. From 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., you can join our in-branch celebrations for treats, prizes, and guaranteed fun. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for your loyal membership and recognizing the integral part you play in our credit union. We hope to see you then!

We continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs each year from September 15 – October 15. Our fourth annual Festival de Mariachi was a huge success. We look forward to next year’s celebration as we carry on this tradition with live performances, amazing cuisine, and talented artisans and vendors.

Also this month, we’re celebrating International Credit Union (ICU) Day. On October 16, credit unions around the world join together to celebrate the spirit of the global credit union movement. We reflect upon the history of credit unions, promote their achievements, raise awareness, and celebrate our membership. This year’s ICU Day theme is “Cooperation for a Prosperous World.” You can learn more about ICU Day through this video, or by stopping by a branch to join our celebration on October 16.

As I celebrate my ninth year as President and CEO of Unitus Community Credit Union, I want to thank you for your trust, partnership, and loyalty. We are a stronger credit union because of you, and I couldn’t be more grateful to lead Unitus. Your membership makes everything we do possible; from giving back to our community to offering inclusive financial products and services that create meaningful impact. Walking with you through each life-defining moment is a great privilege and honor.
