Dream Come True Program - Portland Timbers and Thorns
Unitus Community Credit Union is honored to partner with the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns to bring memorable experiences to children and their families who are battling or have battled unfortunate illness.
The 2022 season provides the following experience for our child recipients:
- Attend a special Timbers training session
- Visit from Timber Joey
- Personalized Timbers Jersey
- Tour of the Timbers Training Center
We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our friends at Children’s Cancer Association for helping us grant VIP wishes to kids who need and deserve prescribed joy and hope.
The Timbers and Thorns have been such an important part of Portland’s identity, bringing, joy, excitement, and inspiration to our city. While we stand in awe of their success on the field, it is their countless off-the-field efforts to improve our community that make this partnership such a natural fit for Unitus.
Rose City Readers Program
This partnership includes support of the teams’ Stand Together community-based initiative, Rose City Readers. This program aims to magnify the importance of elementary school aged children reading at grade level and to inspire kids to read every day, through reading assemblies and classroom visits with Timber Joey and athletes.
