Our Community

As a part of the Credit Union philosophy “People Helping People", Unitus Community Credit Union is committed to building, strengthening and enhancing the lives of those who live and work in the communities we serve.

Each year Unitus commits financial resources in the form of donations (in-kind and monetary) and sponsorships. Our employees collectively volunteer hundreds of hours each year participating in various community events that enrich the lives of others, including building homes through Habitat for Humanity, mentoring children through Adopt-A-Class- a program that helps boost students’ confidence through positive role models and development of practical and social skill in the classroom, and fundraising activities for Children’s Miracle Network/Credit Unions for Kids.

While our support takes many forms, we strive to enhance and strengthen our communities and to demonstrate our commitment as being a trusted partner. We accomplish this mission through a focus on financial literacy and health and human services, which includes supporting organizations that provide vital services, such as food, shelter, clothing, counseling and medical care to individuals, families and children.

The following is a list of the organizations that Unitus currently shares a partnership with:

Helping Hands New Avenues for Youth
Clackamas Service Center Habitat for Humanity
Share Schoolhouse Supplies
SnowCap Adopt A Class, Vestal School
Good Neighbor Center Children's Miracle Network/Credit Unions for Kids

Additionally, Unitus has been named one of the Top Ten Philanthropic Companies by Portland Business Journal each year from 2010-2014.
