Washington is offering emergency Employment Security programs to help relieve the burden of temporary layoffs, isolation and quarantine for workers and businesses. Learn more about Washington’s Employment Security Programs.

Washington businesses big and small continue to avoid layoffs using the Employment Security Department’s Shared Work Program, which helps more than 700 Washington businesses.

Health & Safety

Important Updates

As of June 24, Governor Kate Brown is requiring face coverings to be worn in all indoor public spaces in select Oregon counties. Unitus is complying with the governor’s directive as select Unitus branches are located within several of these counties.

The guidance applies to businesses and members of the public visiting those businesses. These counties include:

  • Multnomah
  • Clackamas
  • Washington
  • Marion
  • Polk
  • Hood River
  • Lincoln

Face Covering Details

  1. Face coverings are now required to enter our branches. Unitus staff can provide you a disposable mask if needed.
  2. Members will be allowed entry into our branch without a face covering if they have a medical or physical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering.
  3. If you prefer not to wear a face covering, Unitus staff will make every effort to provide an alternate banking solution. Alternatives include:
    • Online account opening
    • Mobile deposit
    • ATM access
    • Bringing documents outside to sign
    • Drive thru and other digital services
  4. Children under the age of 12 will not be required to wear face coverings. If desired, Unitus staff can provide your child a disposable mask.

Unitus takes the health and safety of our members, staff, and community very seriously and we will continue to monitor news surrounding the coronavirus. We have implemented measures to help prevent the spread of the virus:

Staff Training

We have shared instructions with our staff on the importance of washing their hands, using hand sanitizer, and frequently wiping down their work surfaces with sanitizing wipes.

Working Remotely

Staff has been encouraged to work from home if possible and limit in-person interactions both at Unitus administrative offices and branches.

Social Distancing

Social distancing practices are encouraged, so if we do not shake your hand when you visit us, please understand we are thinking of your safety and appreciate your membership.

Increased Cleaning

Janitorial cleaning services at all of our branches and offices have been increased.

Travel Suspended

Business-related travel outside of our immediate community has been suspended and we are avoiding participation in large events.
