It's not only part of our philosophy, but our responsibility to give back to the community we serve. The philosophy of "People Helping People" is an original declaration of credit unions nationwide and that is why Unitus is a proud partner to many community organizations such as Schoolhouse Supplies and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
We aren't above forming a line in a warehouse and packing hundred of backpacks full of school supplies for children going to school in high poverty neighborhoods. In fact, we do it every year with the Tools for Schools program through Schoolhouse Supplies. At Unitus we believe volunteer work is as important as writing a check!
